This even­ing I sat in increas­ingly slack-jawed fury, gawp­ing at the news com­ing in about the sham­bolic COP15 con­fer­ence. It was bewil­der­ing and har­row­ing. Historic Global Wake-up call by Avaaz, a watershed in global campaigning

This cam­paign by Avaaz to move global lead­ers to attend this December’s Copen­ha­gen is aston­ish­ing and came just as I was fin­ish­ing Clay Shirky’s “Here comes every­one”. The breadth of activ­it­ies and the demon­stra­tion of cre­ativ­ity is stag­ger­ing and a wake up call in itself to other cam­paign­ers attempt­ing to use the inter­net. Watch the video below
